DNV Firefighters Charity Fishing Derby

Our Charity Fishing Derby welcomes 350 anglers every September for a memorable day on the water in support of a great cause. Join us for a day of fishing, a BBQ at Lions Gate Marine Centre, and a chance to win incredible prizes based on your catch.

Derby Rules

  1. All participants must have a valid tidal licence with a salmon stamp and abide by all current DFO regulations.

  2. Every person on the boat must have a ticket and be able to display it with their phone.

  3. All fish must be legally caught in area 28/29

  4. Derby start time is Friday, September 18th, at dawn.

  5. Weigh in time at Lions Gate Marine Centre at 2:15 sharp. No late fish will be allowed!

  6. Please respect all shipping lanes.

  7. Monitor channel 88 for derby info or questions.

  8. No eviscerated (gutted) fish will be eligible.

  9. Ties are decided in order of the first fish weighed.

  10. All participants must wear a PDF and abide by Transport Canada regulations.

  11. One fish weighed in per ticket.

  12. Illegal fish will disqualify your entire boat.

  13. Failure to comply with derby rules and regulations will result in the disqualification of all entrants on your boat.
